FAQ

Open Wan questions, answered

What the studio runs, what a generation costs, and what happens after you buy credits.

What is Open Wan?

Open Wan is a browser studio for the Wan video family. It runs Wan 3.0 for native-audio text to video and Wan 2.7 for image to video, and charges by generation from a credit balance instead of a monthly seat.

What does Wan 3.0 add?

Wan 3.0 generates audio with the picture: ambience, effects and a soundtrack arrive in the same run. On Open Wan it supports text to video, 5s or 10s clips at 480p, for 15 credits.

How much does a generation cost?

Wan 3.0 and Wan 2.7 are 15 credits per generation on Open Wan. The exact cost is shown in the composer before you press generate.

Does Wan 3.0 support image to video?

Not on Open Wan. Wan 3.0 is text to video here. For image to video, first and last frame control, or output up to 1080p, choose Wan 2.7.

Can Wan 3.0 make clips longer than 10 seconds?

No. Wan 3.0 renders 5s or 10s clips in Open Wan. Wan 2.7 offers 5s, 10s and 15s if you need a longer single take.

Is there a subscription?

No. Credits are sold as one-time packs. Nothing renews automatically, and unused paid credits stay on your account.

What Open Wan is for

Open Wan is an AI video generator built around the Wan model family. Wan 3.0 covers audio-first text to video, Wan 2.7 covers image-led shots — and the cost is visible before every run.

A studio, not a demo page

The homepage composer and the studio share the same model list, so what you try on the landing page is what you generate after sign-in. Prompts, frames and settings carry through instead of being retyped.

Wan 3.0 generates sound with the picture

Wan 3.0 builds ambience and effects into the same render as the image. That makes it a strong first pass for talking-head spots, product teasers and short social scenes where a separate audio pass would slow the edit down.

Wan 3.0 vs Wan 2.7: pick by input and output

Choose Wan 3.0 when you are starting from a prompt and want audio in the same run. Choose Wan 2.7 when you need to animate a still, control the first and last frame, or deliver up to 1080p. Both cost 15 credits per generation.

Credits that match how you work

Every generation is priced in credits and shown before it runs. Packs are one-time purchases, so a quiet month costs nothing and a busy launch does not require a plan upgrade. Unused paid credits stay on the account.
